Pope Benedict the Sixteenth has named the dictatorship of relativism to be the chief threat to our contemporary culture. And no one is more vulnerable to its tyrannical rule than the child in utero. For 42 million children per year, their mother's womb is their tomb.
Many factors contribute to this, but one that looms large has to do with prenatal testing, the ability to diagnose some physical and mental disabilities through tests performed during pregnancy. When prenatal testing reads positive that a child will be born with physical or mental disabilities, healthcare professionals routinely suggest and encourage abortion.
To what extent is the healthcare industry complicit in these deaths? How does existing and proposed legislation increase the risk to the child? And how can parents find help and assistance for their disabled little one?
