In 2007 my husband of nearly 34 years died of terminal brain cancer. It was a devastating loss and came on the heels of the death of our son, Simon, just three years before.
Anthony and I had learned something after Simon's death. We had learned that God's word is true and when He tells us His grace is sufficient for us, it really is -- His sufficiency is infinite. God does have a plan for us and He will meet our every need.
Our guests today are also widows. They, too, have discovered, and are discovering, that widowhood can be a holy path along which we find a future full of hope. And each one of them has much to share with us about how to make this state in life the path of our purification and sanctification.
